 We officially went live September 1st with the Out of This World Contest, giving animators out there a chance to design and direct their own animated video to match one of three William Shatner voice clips we’ve recorded and put online.
Check out our official contest page here, but here’s the lowdown. The winning video gets a gig on an animated series – more news to come, of course! Ten of our finalists receive Toon Boom Animate Pro software, and two receive scholarships to top-notch animation courses provided online to anywhere in the world by our education partner, Academy of Art University.
The soundtracks are complete with music and only twenty-two seconds long, so you can concentrate on your visual choices. Of all the videos uploaded to Toon Boom’s official entry site, our judging panel will pick the finalists to promote online. A public vote will decide the final prize order.
So all you animators, whether old pioneer Antererrians or fresh recruits, download the Shatner voiceclips from us and the trial software from Toon Boom. When will you next have a chance to direct the action of a sci-fi icon? Show everyone what you can do in this contest, and maybe it’ll be sooner than you think.
